About the product
About Hockey Gaze
Hockey Gaze is an early-access training app built to make focused hockey vision practice short, understandable, and easier to repeat.
Short answer
Hockey Gaze helps goalies and skaters practice tracking, anticipation, awareness, and response selection in guided 6–12 minute sessions. It is designed around honest measurement, low-friction use, athlete privacy, and realistic limits on transfer.
Why it exists
Visual and decision practice is often difficult to prescribe consistently. Hockey Gaze turns broad concepts into short position-aware tasks, then provides one understandable next action instead of a wall of metrics.
Product principles
The Hockey Gaze product team uses four principles to guide development.
- Make the first useful repetition fast
- Reward accuracy, consistency, and recovery—not compulsive use
- Explain what each score can and cannot mean
- Protect youth athletes and make sharing explicit
Current status
Hockey Gaze is in early access. The sample drill and early-access accounts are currently free, and no payment details are requested. Features and training content will continue to evolve with athlete, coach, and evidence feedback.
